TESTIMONIALs
Six testimonials sourced from the Melbourne Holocaust Museum, describe the crisis experienced during the Nazi invasion of Poland. Like Basia, the problems and decisions they faced, saved lives. The responses in their testimonials are varied, but all are equally important and demonstrate the desperate measures they took to survive the Nazi atrocities. Some Jews were forced to live in Ghetto’s, others went into hiding, and some falsified papers and converted to different beliefs. Their stories validate Basia’s recollection of how her father so selflessly risked his life in response to the crisis, by harbouring Jewish families.
